Fellowship groups are key to supporting Christians in the workplace. CIC believes that meeting up with other believers at work will make an impact . There are many ways of doing this but the most common is to meet once a week or fortnight for lunch to pray, share issues at work and have a bible study. See 'starting Up a fellowship group'.
Starting up a fellowship group at work
If God has given you a vision to set up a fellowship group, give Him the praise and click here.
You only need one other person to start a group and with Jesus anything and everything is possible.
"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. because in fact that is the only thing that ever has. Margaret Mead (anthopologist)
Inviting Not Yet Believers along...
Mark Greene of the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity (LICC) asks:
"Why do we keep fishing in puddles at home where we know few Not Yet Believers, when we float at workon a deep lake of fish ready to be caught?"
You might decided to use the Alpha course - CIC supports the Alpha course as a tool for sharing the Christian gospel. If that is for you or your group click here. Decide if the Alpha course could be run in your workplace at lunchtime. You will need a room with a TV and DVD/Video. Then find two Christian helpers to assist you and pray together and get your church and friends to pray as well.
